From the moment you step inside, you'll notice the charm of a small-town diner, where nostalgia meets satisfaction. The decor is a delightful throwback, featuring light pink booths and vintage tile flooring, providing an inviting backdrop for your dining experience.
At Tommy's, breakfast is more than just the most important meal of the day; it is a celebration of flavors and comfort. Recent reviews highlight the star of the show – the pastries. As Chen Jan aptly noted, the meals are perfectly portioned, striking a balance that leaves diners satisfied rather than overwhelmed.

Remember to bring cash for convenience, though an ATM is available on site.
Joe Kopacz, a first-time visitor, described Tommy's as a "greasy spoon worth visiting," praising the classic diner burger he savored and the perfectly cooked fries that came alongside it. Despite being full, the allure of the baked goods lingers, making it clear that a return visit is in order.
With its friendly service and homely atmosphere, Tommy's Cafe is not just a place to eat—it's an experience steeped in local charm. The staff's dedication and the customers' enthusiasm make it a must-visit when you're in West Davenport. It’s a gem. The pastries are huge and fluffy and yummy of course with a amazingly reasonable price. Meals are also good. Burger, omelette and salad is just right the size and flavor. Not too big not too salty or saucy, just right, very enjoyable, no burden. We eat everything up, no waste.

Call all kind of place only got the Angel Green doughnut for two dollars. It was tasty super sleep lotta sugar next time. I’ll probably just go for a normal donut. Would have taken more pictures, but there were a lot of customers and it was tight quarters and I didn’t wanna come off as “that guy “ I like the atmosphere there was a lot of chatter from the customers friendly. Maybe good enough for one or two people to hang out but don’t bring a family of six on a Saturday morning

A local favorite among those who go regularly. You can definitely tell who's a regular and who's just stopping in. The breakfast is great! The prices are comparable to any breakfast hub. It is my favorite place when I want some doughnuts, cinnamon buns, or fritters. Bring cash! Otherwise, there is an ATM on site at $3.25 each use.

A delightful "small-town" diner with delicious breakfast! The pepper gravy was perfect, not too pepper-y like some places. The server was very helpful, even as she ran around helping everyone.

I made it into West Davenport via a trip down to the Freight House Farmer's Market this morning. After getting a bit of Kombucha and hanging around, I needed some lunch. A quick review of the places nearby led me to Tommy's Cafe. Seemed like a nice place to try out. I'm glad I decided on Tommy's this morning. It's an experience in and of itself, at least for me as someone living well away from west Davenport. The diner is a true hole in the wall. The floors have that tile characteristic of nearly every building built in the 80s or 90s and the booths are that light pink I stereotypically envision every diner has. In keeping with their story, it's plainly obvious that one half of the restaurant was the original space (wood paneling walls) and the other half was an expansion (normal looking cream colored drywall). There's nothing wrong with this - it's a neat feature of the space that highlights its history. Hungry for lunch, I ended up getting a burger and fries, both of which were out to me within 10 minutes. Both were solid - the burger was filling and exactly what I'd expect a diner burger to be. The fries still had small bits of oil on them sizzling ever so slightly. They had the right combination of crispy and fluffy that crinkle cut fries should have. Truly, this place is a greasy spoon worth visiting. I need to come back at least one more time to try their donuts and/or other baked goods. They are prominently featured, but I was too full upon leaving to consider them. At any rate, if you're in this part of Davenport, you should stop into Tommy's at some point. Get a good meal from a local institution and hang out for a while. Thanks Tommy's!

Every time I come into town I stop by knowing I'm going to get great food and service. Thank you P.s. this is the Only restaurant I know that serves Real corn beef hash from scratch. Definitely my go-to.

Fun little cafe with mixed matched tables and chairs. The coffee is hot and the owner is present and friendly. They are known for their doughnuts, we found out while there and observed many people stopping to buy some. I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast and the corned beef was homemade and delicious! Portions are stacked high for very low prices. This cafe is a hidden gem.

Even in the heart of the city there are places that take me back to living in a small town where people interact as if they go there every day and possibly work there. Great food at a decent price and a very helpful staff! I ate there for breakfast and was not disappointed!
